Gas Safe Isle of Man

Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI gas registration in Great Britain and the Isle of Man on 1 April 2009. It is the official stamp for gas safety.

The Gas Safe Register mark acts as a symbol of trust and integrity for the new register and all gas safety awareness campaigns. The new brand is owned by the Health and Safety Executive (‘HSE’) on behalf of registered businesses and their operatives. The HSE have agreed to licence the Department of Infrastructure full use of the brand.

The new register provides enhanced levels of service and clearly written rules of registration. There are also new services and benefits designed to improve the gas registration scheme and promote gas safety.

31 March 2009 – the CORGI gas register ended.

1 April 2009 – Gas Safe Register went live and gas fitters will need to be registered to operate legally in Great Britain and the Isle of Man.
